Set your imagination aflare with the amber 4 x 5.65" Fireburst Cine 4-Point Star Filter from Formatt Hitech. Embedded with monofilament threads set 3mm apart, this glass filter creates a star effect with four colored diffraction spikes streaking out from every point light source on the scene, such as the sun, a light bulb, or a candle. The Fireburst Cine is available in versions with 1, 2, and 3mm filament spacing, where narrower spacing results in stronger flaring.

The effect also varies depending on the size and prominence of the points of light you pick up with your filter, as well as on the contrast between those points of light and the ambient brightness. In low-contrast shots the effect is fine and subtle, whereas in high-contrast shots it is much more pronounced. Slightly refractive, the Fireburst Cine enables you to pick up and enhance surrounding colors.
