Sony Catalyst Prepare Single User Download
Designed to get the organizational part of the process out of the way first, Sony's Catalyst Prepare can be thought of as pre-postproduction software. It allows you to offload and backup footage from camera media, organize files, apply non-destructive color correction, do basic editing, create storyboards, and more.
Catalyst Prepare supports files from a range of cameras, including models from Sony, Canon, GoPro, and works at resolutions up to 4K. Once the rough cut is ready, files can be exported in a range of NLE-friendly codecs or uploaded directly to Sony's Ci Media Cloud Services for remote collaboration. By getting media transferred and organized ahead of time, editors are able to concentrate on their actual job - editing. This is especially a boon given the time-strapped nature of today's production schedules.

Ultra Wide Color Gamut
Work in the same Ultra Wide Color Gamut supported by Sony cameras such as the F5/F55. Set the source color space and the grade color space independently. Review the full range of color captured by S-Log and RAW Sony cameras. Apply color correction, and import/export standard ASC-CDL files with other workflow tools to save time
Create a Rough Cut
Use the storyboard editor to sequence and edit a rough cut, then render the storyboard or export it to a variety of NLEs
Transcode and Cloud Upload
Transcode clips to a range of popular video formats. Upload clips directly to Sony Ci Media Cloud Services for collaborative team review
Export
- Export a file, a group of files, or a storyboard
- Export proxies, full-res files, sub-clips, storyboards, and optional color looks
- Render to .MP4, DPX, OpenEXR, or XAVC in a variety of resolutions and frame rates, or upload to the cloud
- Rename files for easier reference as they move to the editing stage
Backup
- Create an exact replica of the original storage media, with all files and volume structure
- Checksum verification is used to ensure data has been copied over without errors
- Automatically saves libraries as each edit, adjustment, and change is made
