Samyang - 50mm F1.4 Nikon

The Samyang 50mm f/1.4 AS UMC lens slots in between the Samyang 35mm and 85mm lenses. The 50mm is a standard focal length prime lens, with fast f1.4 aperture full frame compatibility, and is also suitable for smaller sensor cameras.

Perfect for the recent super high resolution full frame cameras, such as the Nikon D600, D610 D750, D800, D810, The Canon 5D Mark III, Sony A7 / A7R / A7S etc. 

Many Samyang users have requested a 50mm standard prime lens and here it is! This specially designed Samyang 50mm lens is full frame compatible, suitable for cameras and interchangeable lens camcorders fitted with 24x36mm (full frame) or smaller sensor. 

Offering a 46.2 degrees field of view with a fast aperture of f/1.4 means it is superb for low light shooting and shallow depth of field photography where separation of the subject from the background is desired and beautiful bokeh with a circular aperture with 8 blades.

Optics of the lens consists of nine lens elements arranged in six groups (including one aspherical and one hybrid aspherical lens element). The Hybrid glass aspherical lens (H-ASP) minimizes colour aberration to produce exceptional image quality and high contrast for throughout the image, from centre to the corners, even for wide apertures. The aspherical element (ASP) further helps to produce the highest resolution and sharpness throughout the image. To ensure high contrast and faithful colour reproduction, all lens elements have been covered with Samyang's multi-layered UMC anti-reflective coatings.
