RP-DC50 Digital LCD Dual Battery Charger Kit with RP-BPA60 Battery Plates
The RP-DC50 Digital LCD Dual Battery Charger Kit with RP-BPA60 Battery Plates is a 2-bay unit that safely charges your batteries and provides 2.1A, 5 VDC power via an integrated USB-A output port. Included in this kit are two Canon BP-A-compatible battery plates that facilitate charging a single battery or two batteries simultaneously and in less time than it normally takes to charge both batteries individually. The charger's interchangeable battery plate option allows users to swap out the two plates with any optional plates that would serve any other available battery types being used.
A backlit LCD provides the charging status of each battery on the charger with a bright readout that is adequately visible in bright or dim conditions. Standard and boost charging is supported, with the boost setting providing approximately 1.5x as much charging amperage for faster charging, and the charger also allows for testing for battery short circuits and offers overcharge and overheating protection.
- The RP-DC50 charger can support two different battery plates at the same time. This allows you to mix and match the batteries. For example, you can charge one L-series battery at the same time you are charging a BP-A battery.
- The LCD screen provides a clear display of the charging status, and the backlight enables reading the display even in the dark.
- Intelligent charging systems such as Constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV) charging mode where the charger CPU automatically adjusts the charging current to be lower than the max charging current that the battery can accept to protect the battery from being overcharged. Intelligent Control MCU can automatically identify the voltage and number of batteries that are on the charger and prevent overcharging depending on the charging mode selected.
- Boost Charging is available at the push of a button to engage a high-speed charging mode. In standard charging mode, the current power is 1A per one slot and 0.5A for both slots. In high-speed charging mode, the charger provides 1.5A current per battery slot or 0.8A for both battery slots. When Boost mode is activated the Boost icon will be displayed. Please note that Boost mode is only recommended for use with batteries that have internal overcharge/overheating protection.
- The charger will automatically adjust its charge voltage to match the attached batteries.
- The charger can be powered by the included AC adapter or car lighter power cord. Please note that to charge 14 VDC batteries (or higher), you need to power the charger via the AC power cord.
- Please note that the USB power port is only active when the charger is in standard mode, and it is disabled when the charger is in Boost mode.
