One could certainly ask thomann why one should spend over 100, - ¤ for a microphone cable: The line consists of 3 wires a. 0.20 mm² and the opposing double spiral screen. This set-up is prescribed by many European broadcasting corporations and keeps even more effective interferences in the HF range (eg mobile thomann phones). 

The difference to ordinary microphone cables: The screen is 50% on pin 1 and 50% on the housing of the XLR connectors, which are also bridged. The third additional wire is connected to the shield together on pin 1. This information is neither available thomann here nor can you find it on the Neumann website. 

This microphone cable is professional and is suitable due to the small diameter and the double helix very well for the suspended installation of microphones. The double helix prevents twisting if the cable is already hanging for thomann a few hours. 

Sound is the cable top. Thick cable cross sections are approx. Height drop for microphone lines is not necessary if a cable length of 300 m is not exceeded and the microphone has a low output impedance.
