Samyang MF 85mm f / 1.8 ED UMC CS Sony E
Samyang MF 85mm f / 1.8 ED UMC CS is the perfect lens for lovers of portraits and other images with short depth of field, but instead draws on heavy photo equipment.
This manually-focused lens has been developed specifically for non-playless system cameras with APS-C sensor, and therefore has a compact design and low weight that makes it convenient to use small and neat camera models.
Soft focus
Samyang MF 85mm f / 1.8 ED UMC CS is equipped with a wide and gripping focus ring that has a very soft and precise movement. The proximity is 65cm, which means that the lens besides portrait also works great for taking detail and food images. Thanks to a so-called floating lens structure, it also keeps its high sharpness throughout the focus area.
The optical structure consists of 9 lenses divided into 7 groups. In order to provide optimum sharpness and resolution even at full aperture, and minimize image errors like chromatic aberration (color dispersion), both a lens of HR (High Refractive) lens and an ED lens are included.
Samyang's advanced multilayer antireflex treatment (UMC, Ultra Multi Coating) counteracts reflections and blurring. Thanks to this, the images get good contrast and natural color reproduction in all lighting conditions. A slab blender also helps to give a very soft and creamy bokeh (drawing of subjects that are blurred). Something all portrait photographers appreciate!
