Known in the film industry for its professional storage systems, the G-Technology brand was renamed SanDisk Professional in 2021. Despite this name change, the disks kept the G-Drive name and the existing G-Drive product range was also maintained. The range signals the arrival of new products that are sure to appeal to filmmakers, photographers and other creative professionals. These are high-quality, scalable storage solutions, which are designed to accommodate all levels of production and protect content. The SanDisk Professional line includes 16 products that provide high-level performance and reliability.
SanDisk Professional retains the same manufacturing quality as when it was called G-Technology. All products are guaranteed for 5 years. With this name change, G-Technology has been able to combine and extend the global reach of SanDisk with their professional photo and video storage products for Mac & PC.
Secure USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 connectivity
The products in the SanDisk Professional range are equipped with the latest connectivity systems: USB-C and Thunderbolt 3.
USB-C is a connector recently used to transmit data and power to and from IT devices. Since the USB-C connector is symmetrical, it can be inserted at both ends, making it easier to use and putting it in direct competition with Apple's reversible Lightning connector. The USB-C is an innovation that will change the way you work. SanDisk Professional also incorporates Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. This connector, which is particularly appreciated by Mac users, is compatible with the DisplayPort protocol. So, you can use a single cable to connect and operate multiple screens.
Thunderbolt 3 provides connection speeds up to 40 Gbps, double that of the previous generation. Finally, the Thunderbolt 3 connector is backward compatible.
A transfer speed of up to 1000 MB/s
Some SanDisk Professional products offer impressive data transfer performance. The Shuttle 4, for example, can display a transfer speed of up to 1000 MB/s, thanks to its G-RAID device, which can reach up to 72TB. This allows you to quickly transfer content and natively edit sequences to make changes to them in real time

SanDisk Professional is behind the new Pro-dock 4, a little gem that revolutionises all card reading solutions. It allows you to mix and match up to 4 card reader modules and connect them to your PC or Mac using the Thunderbolt 3 cable..
ScanDisk Professional readers can operate independently or as an integral part of the dock. The modules are also available individually to allow you to combine the card-reading capabilities of your docking station.
