mTape is an LTO-7 tape drive / tape recorder that provides Mac / PC connectivity in Thunderbolt 3. With two Thunderbolt ports, mTape allows you to chaining 6 devices to a Thunderbolt port.
LTO-7 technology achieves transfer rates up to 300 MB / s on native 6TB capacity, and up to 15TB in compressed mode (variable depending on data type). The LTFS file system is fully supported by mTape, which allows you to manipulate LTO tapes as traditional storage media, such as hard disks, and thus perform backups, archiving, and restores by drag and drop. first in a Thunderbolt archive system.
