Sound Forge Pro 11 from Sony is a one-stop software solution for creating and delivering master audio content for any purpose. Record audio quickly on a stable platform, address audio processing tasks with precision, and render master files with ease. New features include one-touch recording, metering for critical standards, repair and restoration tools, and round-trip interoperability with SpectraLayers Pro 2. 

The software allows for recording up to thirty-two simultaneous channels of 64-bit/192 kHz audio and the latest edition aids in delivering broadcast ready, master quality finished products using built-in signal and effects processing tools. In the mastering suite, twelve iZotope DSP modules provide additional mastering chain processing tools for enhancing audio, along with repair and restoration plug-ins, and precise format conversion tools.

iZotope 64-bit SRC (Sample Rate Conversion)

- Low-pass filter quality is a critical component of any sample rate conversion process
- Protects against the loss of data, aliasing, noise, and unwanted ringing artifacts that appear in other implementations, and utilizes a hybrid low-pass filter along with ringing control

iZotope MBIT+ dither (Bit-Depth Conversion)
- Dither addresses quantization noise and controls where it goes in the audio spectrum when reducing bit-depth
- Employs psychoacoustic methods to distribute the noise into less audible ranges, resulting in improved sound and smoother fades
- Specifically designed for musical program material - MBIT+ models use real music and not test tones, resulting in musical and sonically pleasing dither


Restore and Repair

Declicker
- Identifies and removes clicks, pops and digital impulse noises
- Set the fader to the sensitivity level required, and then count the number of clicks that are identified and repaired over time as the audio file plays

Denoiser
- Easily perform noise-print based noise reduction
- Simply click the Learn button while playing a random sample of unwanted noise contained in the target file and the processor does the rest, by applying a customized noise reduction process across the entire selection

Declipper
- Plug-in reconstructs peaks damaged by clipping at either the analog or digital stage
- Use the level histogram to pinpoint where the damage starts
- Set the Clipping Threshold to determine where peak re-synthesis will begin
