Samyang F1111203102 - 85mm F1.4 Nikon AE

This is Nikon AE (Auto Exposure) version of the Samyang 85mm and features an electronic circuit / CPU which allows for full control of exposure parameters accessible from Nikon Digital SLR cameras, including i-TTL flash communication with EXIF data. All exposure parameters are stored in the cameras RAW / jpeg EXIF. data, for future reference. 

This latest Samyang 85mm f/1.4 AS IF UMC Aspherical Lenses in Nikon AE also feature new UMC (Ultra Multi Coatings) which aid the very high level of light transmission, and adds further resistance to flare and ghosting. Otherwise optically these Nikon versions are the same as the other versions of Samyang 85mm f1.4 lenses.

The 85mm f1.4 lenses are manual focus primes, designed to give exceptional results at wide apertures. At f1.4 great images can be obtained, which is perfect for portraiture and low light shooting, particularly when mounted on a full frame Nikon DSLR such as the D3, D800, D700 etc.

The Samyang 85mm is also suited to cropped sensors, including APS-C / DX sensors, when used on a Nikon DSLR cameras such as the D7000 it gives approximately 120mm focal length equivalent. Coupled with the fast f1.4 aperture gives an excellent portrait lens for tighter head shots or working from a distance with cropped sensor cameras, or for shooting in various low light conditions.
