mTape is an LTO-8 tape drive / recorder that offers Mac / PC connectivity in Thunderbolt. With two Thunderbolt 3 ports, mTape allows the chaining of 6 devices to a Thunderbolt port.
LTO-8 technology achieves transfer rates up to 300 MB / s on native 12TB capacity. The LTFS file system is fully supported by mTape, which allows you to manipulate LTO tapes as traditional storage media, such as hard disks, and thus perform backups, archiving, and restores by drag and drop. first in a Thunderbolt archive system.
